Thelma Ruth Allum, 79, of Washington, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, after an extended illness.
She was born April 13, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of the late Barney and Ruth Bopp Wise.
On March 12, 1949, she married Clinton “Clinty” Allum, who died July 13, 1985.
Mrs. Allum was Protestant.
Her favorite song was “The Elusive Butterfly.” She enjoyed reading a good book, drinking a good margarita and loved her pets, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are four children, Veda Allum, Ferne Evans, Shelly Willemsen and Gary Allum, all of Washington; five grandchildren, Clint “Butch” and Shawn Evans and Seth, Samantha and Zach Allum; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Patty) Wise of Claysville, Bob Wise and Joe (Trudy) Wise; a sister, Dorothy (Bill) Milligan; two aunts, Ruby (Eugene) Harris and Marie Welch; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Charles Wise.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, with the Rev. Keith Eggert officiating.
