Hairdresser owned Esther’s Crafts. Esther Mae Clark, 83, of Washington, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, in Washington Hospital. She was born April 29, 1927, in Lippincott, Greene County, a daughter of George and Alberta Ewart Bowser. Mrs. Clark was a hairdresser and had a shop in her home. She enjoyed crafts and owned Esther’s Crafts on Route 40 West. On February 24, 1948, she married Larry Alvin Clark, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Gary Clark of Lone Pine and Larry “Little Larry” Clark II of Washington; four brothers, Donald, Herman, Charles and John Bowser, all of Carmichaels; four sisters, Helen Fox of Nemacolin, Bernice Embacher of Brimfield, Ohio, Shirley Wilson of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Joyce Baker of Carmichaels; 10 grandchildren, Gary, Brad, Amanda and Courtney Clark, Harry Merryman, Heather Miller, Mark Kuhn and Evan, Erica and Tyler Clark; and 14 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Bonnie Clark Merryman; and four brothers, Bob, Dan, David and George Bowser. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, with the Rev. Rob Berk officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
