Donald Frank Martin

Donald Frank Martin, 69, of Washington, died on Monday, May 31, 2010, at the Washington County Health Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 18, 1940, in Washington, a son of Frank J. and Ruth Wise Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of, and on the Usher Committee of the First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Fidelity Sunday School class, a Sunday School Clerk, and on the board of Christian Education. He did various volunteer-work for Southminster Place of Presbyterian Senior Care and the Community Food Bank. Mr. Martin was a 1961 graduate of Washington High School. Surviving is are a sister, Emily (James) McGavitt, of Claysville, and 2 nephews, Robert & Gary Clark. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden St., Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, with Pastor Steve Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
