John Michael Peck, 60, of Bethel Park, formerly of Washington, died June 2, 2010, in St. Clair Hospital.
He was born May 12, 1950, in North Charleroi, a son of Joan Hamilton Stillman Magyar of Washington and the late John Peck Magyar.
Mr. Peck was a 1968 graduate of Trinity High School and was an ironworker. He served in the Air Force from July 12, 1968, until his honorable discharge on April 19, 1972, as an Airman, first class. His military awards included the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
He loved his family, his dogs and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Barbara R. Peck; a son, John A. Peck (Francine Caldwell) of Bethel Park; three daughters, Faith Rausenburg of Ohio, Jessica L. Peck and Jaclyn A. Peck, both of Bethel Park; and three sisters, Allison Aird and Julie (Kevin) Ripper, both of Washington, and Joy (Mark) Conklin of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Saturday, June 5th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
