Anna Eleanor Prutzman

Anna Eleanor Brownlee Prutzman, 104, of Washington, died June 4, 2010, in Presbyterian Senior Care. Eleanor was a resident at the facility for the last 10 years and was the oldest resident at the time of her death. Eleanor was born January 27, 1906, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of Archie and Ida Perrine Brownlee. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Academy in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, where she met her husband, William E. Prutzman. They were married on November 23, 1925. They had been married 71 years until William’s death in 1997. They lived in Canonsburg and several locations in Washington County. Later Eleanor and William lived in North Port, Florida, before retiring back to western Pennsylvania. . Eleanor loved farming and gardening. Over the years she operated dairy farms and a chicken farm. She always had a warm smile and sparkling clear eyes. Eleanor was a lifelong active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Eleanor and William had 3 children: Eleanor June Prutzman (Arlin) Owen of Collegedale, TN; Harold E. (Jean) Prutzman of Washington, PA; and Archie R. (Leona) Prutzman of Lumberton, NC. At 104, Eleanor, leaves a long list of loving family members including her 3 children, 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 27 great-great grandchildren and 2 great-great-great grandchildren. Deceased is her only brother, Jim Brownlee. Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 11th, with Dr. Robert Williams officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
