Anna Rose Jagoda, 97, of Washington, died Friday, June 4, 2010, in Humbert Lane, Washington.
She was born October 12, 1912, in Buffington, Fayette County, a daughter of Ferdinand and Rozalia Baniecki.
Mrs. Jagoda was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cooking.
She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church.
On August 13, 1934, she married Joseph Peter Jagoda, who died February 20, 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph P. (Freda) Jagoda Jr. of Washington and Edward J. (Mona) Jagoda of Rensselaer, Ind.; two daughters, Dolores McClelland of Washington and Joanne (Roger) Zackfia of Morocco, Ind.; a brother, Joseph Stanley Baniecki of Citrus Heights, Calif.; a sister, Mary Sager of California; 12 grandchildren, Joseph (Cindy) McClelland, Mary (George) Forsythe, Diane McClelland (Damon) Faldowski, Eva (William) Sala, Karrie (Steve) Schott, Darren (Lisa) Chipps, Stephanie (Matthew) Henderson, Karen Zackfia, Patty (David) Modrowski, Sharon Zackfia, James (Barbara) Jagoda and Julie Jagoda; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are three brothers, John, Fred and Louis Baniecki; two sisters, Helen Rosinsky and Nellie Vukmanic; and a great-grandchild, Susan Modrowski.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Washington, with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant.
