45-year association with Greene County Fair. Lucille Hoffman, 83, of Washington, died at 7 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, in Kade Nursing Home. She was born December 4, 1922, in Hoovers Gap, Tenn., a daughter of Freeman and Irene Earp Hoover. Mrs. Hoffman worked at George Junior Republic in Grove City and has been a waitress at various local restaurants. She was associated with Greene County Fair for 45 years and was a member of LOOM in Waynesburg. Mrs. Hoffman enjoyed bingo and embroidery. Her first husband, Robert Shoup, is deceased. On April 8, 1980, she married William Hoffman, who died in 1983. Surviving are a daughter, Peggy (Michael) Brown of Washington; a brother, James Hoover of Lebanon, Tenn.; two sisters, Nadine Embry of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Linda Blanton of Whiterite, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael Brown of Hickory, Michelle Campbell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Melissa Gomez of Westland, Mich.; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a grandson, William Scott Brown; two brothers, J.W. Hoover and Freeman Hoover Jr.; and two sisters, Marie Stahl and Mae Barnes. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
