Janet Beckinger Jeffers

November 22, 1949 — February 21, 2010

Janet Beckinger Jeffers, 60, of Houston, left to be with the angels on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Donnell House, surrounded by her family. She was born November 22 1949, in Washington, a daughter of Evelyn Ruscello Beckinger and the late Bill Beckinger. Mrs. Jeffers graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1967, and then attended Penn Commercial until 1970. She worked as a senior patient financial representative in the billing department at Canonsburg Hospital, where she was a volunteer for the annual Shiners’ Christmas party. Mrs. Jeffers enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and throwing family gatherings for every holiday. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed trying different recipes. Mrs. Jeffers also enjoyed decorating and painting her house, just like her Aunt Doonie. An Avid Steelers fan, she attended many games and enjoyed watching them with her friends. Mrs. Jeffers was a member of Houston United Presbyterian Church. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her beloved husband, Rusty, whom she married May 5, 1993; a daughter, Kelli Murphy of Washington; two sisters, her twin sister Janice (Bruce) Miller of Washington and Gina Yaquinto of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren, Kayla, Megan and Jenna Murphy; three step-children, Jamie Craig, Scott Jeffers and Cody Jeffers; three step-grandchildren, Connor, Casey and Carson Craig; three nephews, Michael and Matthew Yaquinto and Mackenzie Miller; a niece, Jennifer Roberts; her mother-in-law, Josephine Jeffers; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends will be received 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 25th, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington.
