Norman Charles Warth, Jr., 88, of Prosperity, died on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Sunrise Assisted Living, in Cranberry, Pa.
He was born on September 5, 1921, in Martin’s Ferry, OH, a son of Norman Charles, Sr. and Inez Lenore Ruckman Warth.
Mr. Warth was a graduate of Trinity High School.
He served with the U.S. Air Force during WWII, until his honorable discharge on July 13, 1948.
Mr. Warth had been a farmer and also a machinist for McGraw Edison.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg.
He belonged to the American Legion.
On January 22, 1955, he married Sally Ann Warth, who died on April 14, 2006.
Surviving are 2 sons, David (Debbie) Warth, of Denver and Jeffrey Mark (Lynne) Warth, of Mars, PA; a daughter, Judith (Russell) Marrie Kuecken, of Seminole, FL; 2 brothers, Robert L. Warth, of Seminole, FL and Donald R. Warth, of Cummins, GA; 3 sisters, Betty Kenzleiter, of McMurray, PA; Marilyn Beckenger, of Washington and Carol Sue Blayney, of Venetia; 3 grandchildren, Maria Thomas Kuecken and Alyssa Warth, and a step grandchild, Brian Braun.
Deceased is s sister, Orabelle Mellars.
Friends will be received on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
