Martha Lee Johnson, 86, of Washington, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, in her residence.
She was born February 16, 1924, in Houston, a daughter of David G. and Lena Mae Shields Klages.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church.
On April 28, 1944, she married Ernest (Dutch) Johnson, who died June 9, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Frank A. Johnson, Sr. (Anita Bogochenko); and a daughter, Linda L. Dire, both of Washington; six grandchildren, Tim Johnson, and ex-wife, Kelley Johnson, Heather Umphrey, Lee Chestnut, Pam Bowman, Tracy Mowl and Mary Fereza; grand daughter-in-law, Rilla Jean Johnson, wife of the late Frank A. Johnson, Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren, Jesse, Dakota, Timmy Ryan, Kohl Reed, Jordan, Jacob Tyler, Lauren Breann and Jenna.
Deceased are a grandson, Frank A. Johnson, Jr.; five brothers, George, Charles, David Jr., Samuel and William Klages; and five sisters, Della Jane Klages, Kathleen Klages, Mildred Malarkey, Agnes Yuhas and Mary Hill.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29th, with Pastor Joseph Schiren officiating.
