Janice Putran

Janice Putran, 66, of Meadowlands, died Monday, March 1, 2010, in the Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born September 14, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of Edith McCartney Martin of Washington and the late Joseph Martin. Mrs. Putran worked at SNPJ Club for 20 years and most recently at Danny’s Restaurant. She enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Maloy was Catholic by faith. On June 5, 1965, she married Donald Putran, who died July 22, 2007. Surviving are a son, Donald R. (Amanda) Putran, Jr. of Washington; two daughters, Tracy Putran of Meadowlands and Lori Putran (fiancé Daniel Rugg) of Meadowlands; two brothers, Thomas “Buzz” Martin of Ruff Creek and Kenneth Martin of Vero Beach, Florida; and two grandchildren, Gracie and Craig. Friends will be received 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., the hour of service, Thursday, March 4th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
