Sally Sue Samida, 65, of Shadyside, Ohio, formerly of Washington, died Monday, March 1, 2010, in Valley Hospice Care Center South, Liza’s Place, following a lengthy illness. She was born February 22, 1945, in Prosperity, a daughter of John Dewey and Roxie Pearl Longstreath McNay. A graduate of Washington High School, Mrs. Samida had worked at Lang’s, Imperial Cleaners and Brockway Glass. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing bingo, reading, camping and spending time with family. Mrs. Samida was Protestant. On August 25, 1966, she married John J. Samida, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Klejka of Manassas, Virginia, and Donna (Robert) Schuler of Shadyside, Ohio; a sister, Betty Long of Texas; and three grandchildren, Ashley Schuler, Victoria Klejka and Kimberly Klejka. Deceased is a brother, Jim McNay. Friends will be received 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 5th, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Ron Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
