Ralph "Sonny" Crawford

Ralph J. “Sonny” Crawford, 72, of Eighty-Four, died Sunday, August 16, 2009, in his home, following a lengthy illness with cancer. He was born in Washington County on March 27, 1937, the son of Ralph J. Crawford, Sr., and Nell Lewis Crawford Irwin. A lifelong resident of Washington County, he was a former member of Central Assembly of God Church. Mr. Crawford was a member of the Millmen’s Local 1160 Carpenters Union and was one of the founders of Master Woodcraft Corporation that specializes in architectural woodworking. He enjoyed reading and learning about the creative design of a multitude of products. On November 6, 1971, he married Patricia Ann Jordan, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Brad Crawford of Washington and Chad Crawford of Eighty-Four; a sister, Twila Jean Cesaratto of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
