Arthur Raymond Maloy, 72, of Washington, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, in Washington Hospital. He had been ill since September. He was born March 24, 1933, in Washington, a son of Harry and Agnes Wisnesky Maloy. Mr. Maloy retired from Molycorp., where he worked for 20 years as a technician. He served in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. Mr. Maloy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Washington and enjoyed playing golf, pool and cards. On November 4, 1989, he married Stella Irene McCartney, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Charles Maloy and Mark Maloy; a daughter, Dana Matyjasek; a brother, Charles Maloy; and a sister, Grace Davis, all of Washington; and seven grandchildren. Deceased are his first wife, Dolores Amon; six brothers, Jim, Harry, John, Frank "Irish," Tom and Richard; and two sisters, Eleanor (Sally) Lewellyn and Dolores Beck.
Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 6, with the Rev. Fred McCloskey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Military rites will be accorded graveside by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
