Frank Addison Johnson, Jr., 41, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Thursday, January 21, 2010. He was born October 30, 1968, in Washington, a son of Frank A. Johnson, Sr., of Washington, and the late Laura Harrison Johnson. In addition to his father, Mr. Johnson leaves his beloved wife, Rilla Boyer Johnson, whom he married October 9, 2004; a son, Kohl Johnson; a daughter, Jenna Jones; his mother, Anita Bogochenko; grandmother, Martha Johnson; a brother, Timothy Johnson of Washington; four sisters, Laura Lee Chestnut of Pensacola, Florida, Pam Bowman of Cokeburg, Tracy (Rod) Mowl of Marianna, and Mary Fereza of Scenery Hill; two nieces, Jordan Johnson and Lauren Bowman; and two nephews, Timothy Johnson and Jacob Mowl. Deceased, in addition to his mother, is his grandfather, Earnest Johnson. A 1986 graduate of Trinity High School, Mr. Johnson was employed by Aramark as a groundskeeper at Washington and Jefferson College. He also was the owner of Johnson Landscaping. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and bowling. Mr. Johnson was an active member of The First Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the Church Board and sang on the Praise Team. He and his wife taught the Teen Sunday School Class at the church. Also, Frank had a special place in his heart for working with the elderly. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26th, in First Church of the Nazarene, 1336 North Main Street, Washington, with Pastor Joseph R. Schiren officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
