Norma Jean Tarr

Norma Jean Ruetschi Tarr, 73, of Washington, died on Friday, February 24, 2006, in the Donnell House after a short illness. She was born in Washington, PA, on March 9, 1933, a daughter of Joseph and Florence E. Rhodabeck Ruetschi. Mrs. Tarr was a homemaker. She had previously worked at Hazel Atlas. She was Protestant. Mrs. Tarr was an avid bowler, also enjoying camping and fishing. She really enjoyed Walt Disney World, having visited there 27 times with her family. Mrs. Tarr was an Avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and loved following her granddaughter's softball and her grandson's baseball. She was a graduate of Washington High School. On November 26, 1956, she married Thomas Eugene “Skitâ€쳌 Tarr, who died on July 31, 2005. Surviving are a son, Robert Eugene Tarr, a daughter, Kellye Jean Kimberland, and a brother, Wilbur Ruetschi, all of Washington; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Robert and Shana Lynn Tarr, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Gaylord Ruetschi and a sister, Geraldine Jackson. A service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Donnell House, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
