Shawndel Glendenning, 47, of Washington, died Thursday, October 29, 2009, in UPMC, Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born February 9, 1962, in Allegheny County, a son of John Glendenning and Joyce Rodgers, both of Washington.
Mr. Glendenning graduated from Washington High School.
He was a brick mason and worked out of various locals.
Mr. Glendenning was a kind and giving person. He enjoyed playing pool and at one time enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He and his wife, Jamie Gongaware, were married for more than twenty years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Sierra Glendenning and Shania Glendenning, both of Washington; a brother, John “Lil John” Glendenning, of Florida; two sisters, Holly Jo (Jack) Bruno, and Talara (Tom) Robinson, both of Washington; and two grandchildren, Jerrin and Lathyn.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2009, with Rev. Fred Helmick officiating.
