James L. Littell, 57, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 29, 2009, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1952, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Harold Alton and Frances Claire Luster Littell.
Mr. Littell worked for 4 years in maintenance at Cornerstone Care.
He was Presbyterian.
Mr. Littell attended Avella and Washington schools.
He served in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Littell belonged to Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post #175. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, his friends, fishing with his sons, and had once enjoyed hunting.
On June 3, 2000, he married Deborah L. Engel, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, James L. Littell, Jr. and Jayson L. Littell, both of Washington; a daughter, Kimberly Anne Strawn, of Washington; 2 brothers, Joseph Luster, of West Finley and John Baker, of Tallahassee, Florida; 3 sisters, Arlene Ringheisen, of Tallahassee, Florida; Rose (Thomas) Taylor, of West Finley and Cindy Powell, of Washington; 1 grandchild, Samantha AnneMarie Holmes, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Sherry Kasavich.
Friends will be received Sunday, November 1, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Jim Jarvis officiating.
