Enjoyed her church and family. Dorothy Jean (Judy) Miller, 81, of Claysville, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington. She was born July 4, 1928, in Bingin, Ark., a daughter of the late Floyd and Gracie Anderson Epton. Mrs. Miller was a member of Dutch Fork Christian Church. She formerly served as the clerk of elections in Independence Township and was active in West Middletown Garden Club and the local Girl Scouts. Mrs. Miller enjoyed her church and family very much. On August 14, 1943, she married James Earl Miller Sr., who died August 30, 2003. Surviving are her sons, James Earl “Bud” Miller Jr. of Claysville and Raymond (Jake) Miller of Avella; three daughters, Eva Jean (David) Naylor of Claysville, Judith Kay (the late Gordon) Ware of Washington and Dorothy Ann (Edward) Margaria of Avella; a brother, John W. Epton of Midwest City, Okla.; a sister, Janelle Mahaffey of Anardarko, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, David Ingram, Brenda Ingram, Beverly Foringer, James Howard Rawle, Stephen Miller, James Miller III, Megan Cutherson, Michael Naylor, Lori Stokes, Andrew Miller, Jasmine Margaria and Marlana Margaria; three great-grandchildren, Britney Murray, Raymond Ingram and Cheyenne Rawle; and a great-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Ingram. Her brother, William Epton, is deceased. Friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2. Burial will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.
