Mildred A. Torboli, 86, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in Donnell House, Washington, following a six-month illness.
She was born June 20, 1923, in Jefferson Township, Washington County, a daughter of Paul and Mary Roth Markovich.
Mrs. Torboli worked in the laundry department at Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She attended Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of SNPJ of Strabane.
Mrs. Torboli loved raising her seven children and enjoyed her grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling to Nashville's Grand Ole Opry and NASCAR Racing.
On August 16, 1941, she married James E. Torboli, who died July 17, 1984.
Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Wayne Torboli and David P. (Betty) Torboli, both of Washington, James Earl (Pearl) Torboli of Bulger and Calvin Richard (Jamie) Torboli of Hickory; three daughters, Shirley Ann (Robert) Kushner of Cranberry, Diane Joyce (Paul) Meriage of Primrose and Maxine Frances Mason of Venetia; four sisters, Pauline Malone and Lola Nicholas, both of Canonsburg, Elenora Myers of Columbus, Ohio, and Beatrice Holland of Midway; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers, Edward, Richard, John, Freddie and Thomas Markovich; and sisters Margaret Zebrasky and Kathleen Wright.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
