Gardner Freshwater

Loved fishing and taking long drives. Gardner Freshwater, 84, of Washington, died Friday, January 22, 2010, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township. He was born February 2, 1925, in Hickory, a son of Edward and Olga Payne Freshwater. Mr. Freshwater loved fishing, taking long drives, listening to polkas and being a practical joker. Surviving are a sister, Lucille Mahan of Washington; a nephew, Clifford Mahan; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased are a sister, Bernadette; a brother, Robert Breckinridge; and a niece, Linda Chase. Private burial will be held in Venice Cemetery, Cecil Township. William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington, is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
