Kevin C. Mccormick

Kevin C. McCormick, 58, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Friday, January 22, 2010, in St. Clair Hospital. He was born August 27, 1951, in Washington, a son of Charles E. McCormick of Washington and the late Irma L. Carpenter. Mr. McCormick was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School. He worked at Phillips Lighting, American General for 15 years, and currently at Western-Southern Life Insurance. He was a member of West Washington United Methodist Church and Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Washington. Mr. McCormick enjoyed time spent with his family, hunting, fishing and classic cars. On February 10, 1973, he married Lorraine “Lorri” Loffredi, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Erin (Thomas) Helmkamp of Avella; a brother, Sean E. (Sandra) McCormick of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Marna L. (Jim) Hicks of Washington; a grandchild, Braeden Helmkamp; a nephew, Ryne McCormick; a niece, Amber McCormick; and a great-nephew, R.J. McCormick. Deceased is a nephew, Preston Tyler McCormick. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 27th, in West Washington United Methodist Church, with Rev. John Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
