Ruth Ann Kirr

Ohio homemaker enjoyed dancing. Ruth Ann Kirr, 57, of Martin's Ferry, Ohio, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. She was born October 27, 1952, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Paul and Mary Ferrell Yates of Eighty Four. A homemaker, Mrs. Kirr enjoyed taking pictures, line dancing and watching Disney movie classics. She was Protestant. On May 5, 1984, she married Frederick Kirr, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Heath A. (Sabrina) Taggart of Mansfield, Ohio; two brothers, John Yates and David Yates, both of Eighty Four; a sister, Donna (Bob) Jones of Eighty Four; two grandchildren, Brayden Christopher Taggart and Mylah Paige Taggart; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a son, Christopher Lee Taggart. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 17, with the Rev. Ray Bruno officiating.
