Gladys Clark Crompton, 81, of Washington, died April 13, 2009, in Manor Care, Bethel Park, due to injuries sustained in a fire.
She was born August 2, 1927, in Claysville, a daughter of Chester A. and Mary Hazel Whiteman Clark.
Mrs. Crompton was a member of Church of the Covenant. She was a bank teller at Mellon Bank for many years and enjoyed cooking, baking and ceramics.
On August 26, 1949, she married George Byron “Bunny” Crompton, who died April 2, 2003.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph R. Clark of Palm Harbor, Florida; a sister, Anna Westfall of Clearwater, Florida; two grandchildren, Jeffery Owen Crompton and Mark Anthony Crompton; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Jeffrey Allan Crompton, who died September 22, 2003; and a daughter, Lory Ann Crompton Jenkins, who died December 2, 2008.
A memorial service for Gladys Clark Crompton and her daughter, Lory Ann Crompton Jenkins, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 23rd, in Church of the Covenant, with Rev. Randy Boyer officiating.
