Annette Lynn Shuba, 48, of Chandlersville, Ohio, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in The Morrison House, Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, Zanesville, Ohio, following a three and a half-year battle with cancer.
She was born October 24, 1960, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Shirley Ball Craig of Washington and the late Edmond Craig.
Mrs. Shuba formerly worked at Washington Honda-Subaru for three years and, for the past year, worked as a server at Denny's Restaurant in Zanesville, Ohio.
She was Protestant and a former member of Trinity Bible Fellowship in Washington. Mrs. Shuba was active with her family in Relay For Life in Columbus, Ohio. She was known to many as "Mama Shuba."쳌
On August 3, 1979, she married Michael John Shuba, Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael J. Shuba, III, of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Cherie Shuba of Columbus, Ohio, and Ashley Shuba of Zanesville; two brothers, John Craig and Scott Craig, both of Washington; and a sister, Susan Dorazio of Washington.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18th, with Rev. Joseph DiVincenzo officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
