Scot M. Grandel, 40, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Saturday, February 6, 2010, in his residence.
He was born February 9, 1969, in Washington, a son of A.M. “Jack” and Helen Phillips Grandel of Washington.
Mr. Grandel was a 1987 graduate of McGuffey High School. He was an electrician for Metal Tech for the past nine years.
Mr. Grandel was a member of Rough Rangers Off Road Club and enjoyed outdoor activities and helping his friends and neighbors.
He was Baptist by faith.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Wendy Kuhns Grandel, whom he married April 10, 1993; a daughter, Morgan Renee Grandel; a son, Evan Wayne Grandel; and a sister-in-law, Julie Kuhns.
Friends will be received 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 13th, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Larry Deemer officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
