Ruth Isabell Glover, 90, of Washington, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born December 4, 1919, in Banetown, a daughter of Timothy Bennett and Victoria Breese Bennett. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, the Breeses.
Mrs. Glover was a housekeeper for the Weber family for 20 years and also had a home laundry service for 10 years.
She was a member of First Nazarene Church and enjoyed bingo, cooking and baking.
Her husband, Chester K. Glover, died in 1988.
Surviving are a son, Allen G. (Corrine) Glover of Washington; two sisters, Donna Bryner and Nel Watson, both of Washington; a son-in-law, James Stollar, Sr.; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Deceased are two daughters, Wanda L. Stollar and a daughter who died at birth; a brother, William Bennett, and three sisters, Evelyn McCann, Luella Jones and Jennie Phillips.
Friends will be received 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 29th, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with John Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
