William H. �Jack� Mounts, 75, of South Franklin Township, died Friday November 6, 2009, in his residence. He had been ill since February.
He was born November 23, 1933, in Washington, a son of the late William Howard �Jack� and Mary Craft Mounts.
Mr. Mounts graduated from Trinity High School, where he had been a drum major and class president.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and was an insurance investigator for Donegal Insurance for 15 years and for National Grange for 20 years.
Mr. Mounts was a member of Claysville Christian Church and enjoyed traveling throughout America.
On November 23, 1958, he married Elna Huston, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lori (Randy) Polan of West Alexander and Debbie (Ronald E.) Gardner of Claysville; one brother, Robert Eugene (Joan) Mounts of Pittsburgh; and three grandchildren, Joshua (Ginger) Polan, Jeremy Polan and Brandon Gardner.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 10th, with Rev. Meade Lacock officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
