June Marie Fischer, 69, 0f Washington, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, in her home, following a two year illness.
She was born February 29, 1940, in Piorio, South Africa, a daughter of the late Jasper Augusta and Sheila McIntosh Reis.
Mrs. Fischer lived in South Africa until the age of twenty-four. She graduated from high school and attended one year of college while living there.
She was a corporate purchasing agent for Valley National Gas for twenty-seven years.
Mrs. Fischer was a member of First Lutheran Church in Washington.
She enjoyed camping at Lake Erie.
On July 2, 1999, she married William Fischer, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Larry S. Moore and Lance R. Moore, both of Washington; three stepsons, William Fischer, of Norton, Ohio, Kirk Fischer, of Killeen, Texas, and James Fischer, of Washington; a daughter, Corrina Moore, of Washington; and three grandchildren, Dirk Barfield, Jr., Nicole Barfield, and Shayne R. Moore; seven step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, who died as a child.
Friends will be received 2 to 6 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday, April 22, 2009, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.
