Thomas Alva Remaley, 65, of Washington, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, in The Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 2, 1943, in Washington, a son of the late Franklin G. and Blanch Marker Remaley.
Mr. Remaley worked at various local auto body repair shops as a painter and enjoyed painting antique automobiles.
He participated in the Great American Race in 1983-84.
Surviving are a son, Thomas W. (Amy) Remaley of Lewis, New York; a daughter, Laura Lee Remaley of Washington; three brothers, Robert, Merle, and Frank Remaley, all of Washington; three sisters, Margaret Dicks of Washington; Mary Jane Russell of Coal Center, and Catherine Sweany of Fredericktown; and a grandchild, Shena Renea Remaley.
Deceased are a brother, Kenneth Remaley; and a sister, Edna Finley.
Friends will be received Monday, April 27th, from 2 to 4p.m., the hour of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating.
