Avid trapshooter
Edgar C. McFeely, 92, of Houston, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
He was born January 11, 1917, in Donora, a son of William and Katherine Irene Jester McFeely.
Mr. McFeely served in the U.S. Air Force for 15 years and was discharged with a rank of staff sergeant.
He was a self-employed contractor and enjoyed trapshooting.
Mr. McFeely was a member of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, Ruffsdale Sportsmen's Club, Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsmen's Club as well as the Washington and Canonsburg sportsmen's clubs.
Surviving are his wife, Jane Dubois; three daughters, Elaine (Danny) Flaherty of Texas, Cheryl Menylor of Charleroi and Cindy (Kevin) Stricklin of Belle Vernon; two stepsons, Raymond (Joy) Dubois Jr. of Houston and Alan Dubois of Vancouver, Wash.; nine grandchildren, Dan Flaherty, Shannon West, Courtney Menylor, Dereck Stricklin, Vincent, Michael, Pierre, Bobby and Patty Dubois; six great-grandchildren, Chloe and Caileigh Flaherty, Tanner, Tristin and Peyton West and Trenton Dubois; and many nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services were held in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd. was in charge of arrangements.
