Richard E. Edmunds, 49, of Eighty-Four, formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in Donnell House, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 17, 1960, in Royal Oak, Michigan, a son of Richard E. Edmunds of Eighty-Four and the late Betty Platter Edmunds.
Mr. Edmunds was a phlebotomy manager for Quest Diagnostics in Las Vegas for over 20 years. After relocating to Pennsylvania in 2004, he owned and operated Rich�s Emporium in Houston.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, especially his life-long best friend.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are two sisters, Judy Rudolph of Las Vegas and Janine (Jim) Zito of Washington; and three nieces, Annricka Rudolph McGuinness, Breann Zito and Brenna Zito.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301; or to a charity of the donor�s choice.
Mr. Edmund�s family would like to send a special thank you to his doctors, caregivers and the nurses and staff of Donnell House for their care and support.
