Ruth I. Morris

Ruth Irene Morris, 92, of Washington, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, in Washington County Health Center, following a brief illness. She was born January 29, 1917, in Washington, a daughter of Charles and Odessa Bedillion Miller. Mrs. Morris was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship. She enjoyed being with family, gardening, and playing cards, bingo and darts. For 20 years, she worked in the cafeteria at McGuffey High School. On August 5, 1939, she married Harry S. Morris, who died September 26, 1993. Surviving are three sons, H. Norman Morris of Atlanta, Georgia, Donald E. (Elaine) Morris of Williams, Minnesota, and Raymond E. (Linda) Morris of Washington; six grandchildren, Stacy (Dale) Thomas, Scott (Lauren) Morris, Rhonda (Tony) Stone, Greg (Susan) Morris, Theressa (Duane) LeTexier and Kimberly (Mark) Whorley; and 13 great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, J. Wesley Miller and William “Bus” Miller; and four sisters, Thelma Ritchie, LeAnna White, Ima J. Lee and Betty Mounts. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 21st, with Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
