Eunice Kay Gallagher Ross, 73, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Monday, December 7, 2009, in her residence. She had been in declining health.
She was born October 7, 1936, in Washington, a daughter of Osler Dewey and Amanda Hall Gallagher.
Mrs. Ross was a graduate of Trinity High School in 1954 and attended Penn Commercial for two years.
She made her career as a bookkeeper at Washington International Truck Sales and Service.
Mrs. Ross was the current Secretary/Treasurer and held many offices within the Women Of The Moose #318, including College of Regents, Star Recorder and was the Deputy Grand Regent of the state of Pennsylvania in 1998-1999.
She was also a member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Ross enjoyed crafting, especially beading and plastic canvas, and giving her creations as gifts to friends.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Bill) Martin, of McMurray, and Lorraine (Brad) Phillips, of New Holland, IL; two sisters, Loretta (Lucille) Risbin, and Shirley Davidson, both of Washington; four grandchildren, Christopher, Paul, and Matthew Phillips, and Amanda Miller; two great grandchildren, Michael and Kayley Miller; two nieces and two nephews.
Deceased are a son, Darius Voytek; her loving companion, Robert Easterbrook; a brother, O.D. Gallagher, Jr.; two sisters, Twila Ruth Gallagher and Kate Aber; and two half sisters, Mae and Helen.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2009, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
