Marion Alberta Dever, 78, of Washington, died at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Donnell House.
She was born on September 6, 1930, in Washington, PA, a daughter of Charles K. and Marion Alberta Braddock Stuck.
Mrs. Dever was an organist for Fairhill Manor Christian Church for 39 years.
Marion attended Washington High School, where she played the First Clarinet for the High School Band.
Music was her main hobby.
She enjoyed cooking, her family and babysitting her grandchildren.
Mrs. Dever was a member of Lone Pine Christian Church
On December 7, 1946, she married her husband of 62 years, Donald G. Dever, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Larry Earl (Vicki) Dever and Randy Scott (Robin) Dever, both of Washington; three daughters, Linda L. (Gary) Nicholls of Scenery Hill, Donna Jane (Robert) Bakaitis of Washington and Nancy Walker of Washington; 4 nephews, Wayne Minton, of Latrobe, James Minton, of Michigan, Richard Minton, of Ohio and Ronald Minton, of Georgia; grandchildren, Lori, Debra, Douglas, Randy, Jr., Tammi, Tracy, Michael, Jayanne Hamilton, Shannon Johnson, Andrea, Shane and Danielle Dever; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren, Bobbi Dever, Mark Sutherin, Ricky Irey and Michelle Hanna.
Deceased is a sister, Dorothy Minton.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where there will be additional visitation on Monday, May 4, 2009, from 10-11 a.m., the time of service.
Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
