U.S. Army veteran, All Clad employee.
Kenneth John Schofield, 60, of Washington, died Sunday, December 27, 2009.
He was born June 9, 1949, in Washington, a son of Kenneth and Bertha Lois Warne Schofield.
Mr. Schofield was a graduate of Avella High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from April 21, 1969, until his honorable discharge April 20, 1971, with a rank of specialist, fourth class. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Schofield enjoyed watching Western movies and loved animals, especially his dogs.
For 14 years, he worked at All Clad Metal Crafters as a highlighter.
He was Presbyterian.
On April 15, 1972, he married Kathleen Amon, who survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Josephine (Josie) Harris of Houston and Betty Ann Haines of Washington.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at noon Thursday, December 31, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
