Gail E. Karr Andy

Member of Friendship Community Church. Gail E. Karr Andy, 86, of Washington, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare following a yearlong illness. She was born December 8, 1919, in Washington, a daughter of Ralph and Della Evans Karr. She had attended Washington schools. Mrs. Andy was a homemaker and member of Friendship Community Church. On May 24, 1958, she married Louis Andy, who died January 19, 1991. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Catherine (Paul) Abraham of Houston; five stepgrandchildren, Daniel and David Abraham, Stephen Andy, Don B. Andy Jr. and Anita Fletcher; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a niece. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a stepson, Don B. Andy; two brothers, Edward and Kenneth Karr; and four sisters, Ethel Anderson, Geneva Showlater, Mary Karr and Hazel Karr, who died in infancy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, with the Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating.
