Donald Allen Loar, 66, of Washington, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on May 28, 1943, in Washington, a son of the late Joseph and Ochel Richardson Loar.
Mr. Loar worked as an independent contractor driving trucks.
He attended Trinity High School.
His first wife, Layne Loar died in an automobile accident in 1966.
Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Linda Gray.
Also surviving are two daughters, Loretta Holland and Tina Boyd, both of Washington; three sons, Larry Boyd, Jr., and Robert Boyd, both of Washington, and Donnie Loar, of Amarillo, Texas; 2 brothers, Walter Loar, of Washington and Duane Loar, of Breezy Heights; 2 sisters, Elma Richards, of Scenery Hill and Barbara Bird, of Claysville; and three grandsons, David, Michael, and Matthew Boyd.
Deceased are a sister, Josephine Loar, and grandson, Andy Boyd.
Friends will be received 7-9 p.m., Thursday, and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Chaplain Eric Hertzog officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
