Evelyn Mcmasters

Evelyn Ann McMasters, 67, of Washington, died May 20, 2010, in her residence, following a six-month illness. She was born July 7, 1942, in Eldersville, a daughter of Henry W. Jenkins and Mary Belle Tustin Jenkins. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her grandchildren, drawing, music and dancing. Surviving are two sons, David J. Holmes of Washington and Robert McMasters Holmes of Somerset County; three daughters, Mary Ruth (Gary) Huffman of Washington, Lucretia (Thomas) Davis of Prosperity and Jeani McMasters of Washington; two sisters, Juanita Snodgrass of Colliers, West Virginia and Delores McMasters of Washington; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren; and her former husband, Robert McMasters, Jr. Deceased are two brothers, Walter and Willis Jenkins; and two sisters, Patricia Brooks and Lydia Hartzog. Friends will be received Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Juanita Moschell officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
