Wanda Mae Nester

Wanda Mae Nester, 71, of Cottageville, South Carolina, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, May 22, 2010. She was born October 12, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Emmett and Edith Bradley Lyons. Mrs. Nester was a homemaker who loved being with her family and cooking. Before moving to South Carolina 14 years ago, she attended and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. On July 2, 1958, she married Frank S. Nester, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are a son, Frank A. (Linda) Nester of Charlotte, North Carolina; a daughter, Kimberly Nester of Cottageville, South Carolina; one brother, Emmett Lyons of Cottageville, South Carolina; two sisters, Edith Supler of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Rita Mossor of Follansbee, West Virginia; and a granddaughter, Kacie Nester. Deceased is a son, Mark A. Nester. Friends will be received Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Blessing Service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 26th, in the chapel at Washington Cemetery, 498 Park Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
