James Leslie Guidas, 59, of Washington, died on Friday, November 19, 2010, at his residence, after a 4-year illness.
He was born on August 27, 1951, in Washington, a son of the late Bernard and Edith Stefick Guidas.
Mr. Guidas was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He was a member of the Army National Guard of the United States, having enlisted on September 24, 1969, and discharged on September 23, 1973.
He had worked at Metro Glass for 10 years and Glenshaw Glass Company for 10 years, and most recently for 3 years at Taylor-Wharton International, as a small parts machinist.
James enjoyed playing his guitar, singing karaoke, animals and classic cars.
He was a 1969 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Rosedale Technical Institute of Pittsburgh for 2 years.
On October 12, 1991, he married Deborah Mossburg, who survives.
He is also survived by “Honey” and “Gwenie”, his beloved dogs.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 22, 2010, from 3 to 5 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial will follow at a later date.
