Mildred E. Yoders, 98, of Washington, died Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Washington Hospital.
She was born on March 28, 1912, in McKeesport, a daughter of Carl and Ellen Jernberg Rundquist.
Mrs. Yoders had been a dietary worker at Western State Hospital for 20 years.
She was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church.
Mrs. Yoders was a member of the Daughters of Balder, the Vasa Star, the Sunshiners at the Church of Christ and the Women’s Christian Fellowship. She also taught Sunday School.
She enjoyed travelling, baking, her 500 Card Club and preparing the annual Swedish dinner for her brothers and sisters.
On May 20, 1931, she married Harry Gilbert Yoders, who died on July 3, 1980.
Surviving are a son, John (Joanne) Yoders, of Haines City, FL; 2 daughters, Lois (Joseph) Laws, of Lakewood, OH and Harriet (Edward) Jackman, of Washington; a sister, Gertrude Jasinski, of East Buffalo, PA; 7 grandchildren, Kathleen Coffman, David Yoders, Debbie Penington, Kevin Yoders, Cheryl Russell, Edward Jackman and Jodi Olashuk; 14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are 6 sisters, Hannah, Ellen, Marie, Ruth, Coreen, and Thelma, and 3 brothers, Harry, Carl and John.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where additional visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010, from 1 to 2:00 p.m., the time of service, with Bob Davidson officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens.
