Anna Mae Mancuso

Anna Mae Mancuso, 68, of Washington, died at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007, in the Washington Hospital following a lingering illness. She was born May 9, 1938, in Bentleyville, a daughter of John and Anna Kurnik Matay. Mrs. Mancuso graduated from Charleroi High School in 1956. She worked as a custodian at Washington and Jefferson College and as a packer on the hot end at Brockway Glass. Mrs. Mancuso was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Alpine Star Lodge, and an auxiliary member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion, and loved to polka. Surviving are a son, with whom she lived, Leonard (Cindy) Mancuso, Jr., of Washington; two daughters, Kelly (Jim) Hull and Kathie (Larry) Amos, both of Washington; two sisters, Mary Yurkovich and Helen �Irene� Fallenstein, both of Charleroi; six grandchildren, Cody and Derek Hull, Ashley Miller, Larry Amos, Jr., Dustyn Bright and Shayna Bright; one great-grandchild, Dylan Miller; an aunt, Helen Phillips; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Frank Kern of Strabane. Deceased are three brothers, Chuck and John Matay, and a brother who died in infancy; two sisters, Pauline Pinkney and Dorothy Doak. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at the Washington Cemetery.
