William Cyrus Cameron, 77, of Washington, died Thursday, November 16, 2006, in Washington County Health Center following a four-month illness.
He was born May 11, 1929, in McDonald, a son of Earl and Marguerite Walters Cameron.
Mr. Cameron was a graduate of McDonald High School and attended Slippery Rock University.
Prior to becoming employed at Washington Steel, he was involved in the family business, Cameron Coke of McDonald.
Mr. Cameron was a fifty-year member of Garfield Lodge and a fifty-year member of McDonald Fire Department. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Cameron was Presbyterian.
On August 26, 1972, he married Ruth Ann King, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Rae Lynn (Tom) McWilliams of Canonsburg; a brother, Lee Cameron of Knoxville, Tennessee; a sister, Mildred "Dobby" Limberg of Monaca; two grandchildren, Cayce McWilliams and Bill McWilliams; and a great-granddaughter, Molly McWilliams.
Deceased is a brother, Earl "June" Cameron.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2006, with Rev. Tom Hamilton officiating.
