Curtis Olen Myers, 86, of Washington, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Washington Hospital.
He was born on February 4, 1924, in Wana, WV, a son of Clifford L. and Lena L. Thomas Myers.
Mr. Myers had worked as a bricklayer for Washington Steel Corporation for 49 years. He had also been a Constable for Canton Township and worked in lawnmower sales and repair in Washington.
He was a member of Sunset Lodge No. 623 Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Mr. Myers attended the Pine Bank Schools in Waynesburg.
He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and watching Westerns.
He was Protestant by faith.
Mr. Myers served as a Tech 5 in the U.S. Army, during World War II.
On August 6, 1993, he married Sadie Angeline Medlen, who died in October, 2002.
Surviving is a daughter, Crystal R. (Gary Lowden) Kelley, with whom he made his home, and a grandson, Logan Nathanial Kelley-Lowden.
Also surviving is a previous wife, Lillian Myers.
Deceased is a sister, Mary Miller.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010. Burial will follow in North Buffalo Cemetery.
