William Louis “Bill” Comer, 52, of West Alexander, died Wednesday July 7, 2010, in his residence.
He was born April 11, 1958, in Washington, a son of Wilma R. Coffield Loucks of Wilmington, Illinois, and the late Carl l. Comer.
Mr. Comer had worked at Bethel Personal Care Home, Provenzano’s Lounge and Gabby Inn. He was a member of the Slovak Club and enjoyed yard work and gambling.
Mr. Comer was Protestant by faith.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his companion of six and a half years, Vikki Bredniak of West Alexander; his adopted daughter and joy of his life, Fiona Allen; stepfather, Dale Underwood of Wilmington, Illinois; stepmother, Karen Comer of Washington; grandmother, Isabelle Hughes of Washington; four brothers, Lenny (Margaret) Comer of Canonsburg, Kenneth (Sandra) Comer of Braidwood, Illinois, Carl (Missy) Comer and John (Terri) Comer, both of Washington; three sisters, Liz Comer of Washington, Tammie (Scott) Brodak of Belle Vernon and Wanda (Ed) Wagner of Marianna; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend Tom “Ringo” Vance.
Deceased, in addition to his father, are a nephew, David Comer; grandparents, aunts and uncles.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the hour of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
