Delores Victoria Yater, 74, of Washington, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, in her residence, following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 7, 1935, in Lincoln Hill, a daughter of George Ramsey and Ethel Fulmer Ramsey.
Mrs. Yater attended Chartiers-Houston Schools. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, and playing bingo and cards.
Mrs. Yater was Protestant.
Her husband, Earl Yater, died June 21, 1979.
Surviving are a son, David (Renee’) Yater of Washington; three daughters, Delores (Rev. Les) Hutchins of Knoxdale, Margaret Martin and Ethel (Randy) Rush, both of Washington; two brothers, George Ramsey of Houston and Donald Ramsey of New Jersey; two sisters, Marion Marcase of Houston and Sonja Ballintina of Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Leslie Yater; two sons, Earl Yater, Jr. and William Holmes III; and two sisters, Kathleen Watson and Loretta Beton.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 15th, with Rev. Les Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Prospect Cemetery.
