Wanda H. Ezersky, 88, of Washington, died at 9:13 a.m., Sunday, September 2, 2007, in her home, following a three-month illness.
She was born March 22, 1919, in Littleton, W.V., a daughter of Howard and Maude Bradley Hamilton.
Mrs. Ezersky was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church and was a homemaker.
She was a Girl Scout leader, a volunteer at Washington Hospital, and a volunteer for twenty-nine years at the Senior Citizens Center. In 1985, she received a Retired Senior Volunteer Award for the State of Pennsylvania, which was presented by Ronald Reagan.
On November 15, 1938, she married Harry George Ezersky, who died December 13, 2003.
Surviving are a son, Michael Ezersky, of Washington; two daughters, Sue (Bob) Shuba and Tina Ezersky, both of Washington; two brothers, Clarence Hamilton, of Sacramento, California and Earl Wayne Hamilton, of Mechanicsville, VA.; a sister, Corabelle Bonesteel, of Mechanicsville, VA.; five grandchildren, Scott, Terry and Mark Shuba,, Christopher Ezersky, and Lisa Delgreco; twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her dog, Pebbles.
Deceased are two brothers, Charles and Virgil Hamilton; four sisters, Catherine Cottrill, Imogene Robson, Leota May Curtis, and Helen Hamilton.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2007. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
