Gertrude A. Carroll, 85, of Washington, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in U.P.M.C., Pittsburgh.
She was born November 12, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of Fred and Hazel Paul Naser.
Mrs. Carroll graduated from Washington Seminary, was a member of Upper Buffalo Presbyterian Church and attended Washington Alliance Church.
She was co-owner of Wilson-Carroll Jewelers and at one time worked at West Penn Power.
Mrs. Carroll was a member of Mary Shaw Missionary Society, Buffalo Homemakers, Christian Women, and formerly Eastern Star.
She enjoyed sewing, reading and quilting.
On May 29, 1947, she married Wilson W. Carroll, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David Wilson Carroll, of Nashville, Tennessee and Jeffrey (Leslie) Carroll, of Cambridge, Ohio; two daughters, Jane E. (David) Wylie, of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Clea (Lee) Meneely, of Wellsburg, West Virginia; six grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Jennifer, Melissa, Jeff and Madison; and five great grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Fred Naser.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010, with Rev. C.D. Crosscutt and Rev. Judy Mayer, co-officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Buffalo Cemetery.
