John Edward Roux, 72, of Washington, died Saturday, July 17, 2010. He had been in declining health.
He was born February 16, 1938, in Washington, a son of Emil Roux and Maude Cramer Roux.
Mr. Roux was a veteran of the Navy, serving from February 7, 1956, until his honorable discharge on February 12, 1959.
He worked in metal roofing for C.W. Phillips for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Vester Roux; two sons, Jon (Beth) Roux of McMurray and Erik Roux of Washington; a daughter, Lori (Bill) Poland of Washington; three sisters, Jaqueline Arena and Annette Baker, both of Washington, and Dorothy Brownlee of West Middletown; six grandchildren, Jason Roux, Dustin Roux, Billy Meckenzie, Brandon Poland , Erik Roux and Ryan Roux.
Deceased are a daughter, Johnna Roux; and a grandson, Nathan Roux.
Visitation and services were private. Burial in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will take place at a later date.
